TYPHOON “GLENDA” HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AND PASSED VERY CLOSE TO CATARMAN, NORTHERN SAMAR
Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, Typhoon “GLENDA” was estimated based on all available data and PAGASA Virac Radar ay 80 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar or 160 km East Southeast of Legazpi City, Albay (12.7°N, 125.4°E).
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move West at 24 kph.
Forecast Positions: Typhoon “GLENDA” is expected make landfall over Albay-Sorsogon area this afternoon then cross Albay towards Southern Luzon. It is expected to be in the vicinity of NCR by tomorrow morning and will exit the Luzon landmass via Zambales area by afternoon. By Thursday morning, it will be at 300 km West of Sinait, Ilocos Sur and by Friday morning, it is expected to be in the vicinity of Southern China

TROPICAL STORM “GLENDA” HAS INTENSIFIED FURTHER AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE WESTWARD THREATENING BICOL REGION.
Location of eye/center: At 4:00 PM today, Tropical Storm “GLENDA” was estimated based on all available data at 470 km East Southeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 500 km East of Legazpi City, Albay (12.7°N, 128.9°E).
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move West at 30 kph.
Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm“GLENDA” is expected to be in the vicinity of Ligao City, Albay by tomorrow afternoon and at 90 km West Northwest of Iba, Zambales by Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be 500 km West of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

Location of eye/center: 620 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.3°N, 130.6°E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move West at 28 kph.
Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm“GLENDA” is expected to be in the vicinity of Virac Catanduanes by tomorrow morning and at 6240 km Northwest of Dagupan City by Wednesday morning. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be at the vicinity of Southern China

TROPICAL STORM “GLENDA” HAS INTENSIFIED AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE IN A WESTWARD DIRECTION TOWARDS BICOL-QUEZON AREA.
Location of eye/center: At 4:00 AM today, Tropical Storm “GLENDA” was estimated based on all available data at 750 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.4°N, 132.0°E).
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph.
Movement: Forecast to move West at 30 kph.
Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm“GLENDA” is expected to be at 280 km East of Virac Catanduanes by tomorrow morning and at 60 km East of Infanta, Quezon by Wednesday morning. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be at 250 km Northwest of Iba, Zambales.
• Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5-15 mm per hour (moderate-heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
• Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Eastern seaboards of Luzon and of Visayas.
• The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.
TS Rammasun is expected to move generally westward during the next 24 to 48 hours...and will turn west-northwestward with no change in its forward speed through 72 hours. On the forecast track, the storm will traverse the eastern portion of the Philippine Sea and enter the PAR by early Monday morning...and will moving along the central portion of the Philippine Sea by early Tuesday morning. By early Wednesday morning, Rammasun will be passing close to the northeastern coast of Catanduanes, as it heads toward Aurora Province.
Rammasun will continue to slowly intensify throughout the forecast period...and could become a minimal Typhoon on Tuesday morning. Advance Intensity Forecast (AIF) shows its 1-minute maximum sustained winds increasing to 150 kph by early Wednesday morning.
